Terms of Use

1. Using Emozle

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Emozle for lawful purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable app-store terms. You must be able to enter into these Terms under applicable law. If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must authorize your use where required. Do not use account or payment features without any parental authorization required by law or the relevant store.

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls or paid-feature restrictions, automate abusive traffic, distribute malicious content, impersonate others, or use challenges to harass people or infringe their rights. Fair-use and security limits may apply to API requests and gameplay.

Daily editions and archive allowances use midnight UTC, which may differ from your local midnight. Server-graded guesses require an internet connection. A puzzle can end when its day changes. Scores, streaks, and achievements are for entertainment; they have no monetary value and are not a guarantee of competitive accuracy.

2. Accounts and saved progress

You can play as a guest or use an available sign-in provider. You are responsible for protecting your sign-in account and device. Apple and Google handle their own login services; do not share passwords or authentication codes with us or other players.

Guest progress is linked to local storage and a guest identifier. Clearing storage, changing browsers, or uninstalling the app may make that history unavailable. Optional account sync can help preserve supported progress, but we cannot guarantee recovery of data that was never saved or synced. Different sign-in providers may create separate Emozle accounts. Guest history is not automatically merged into a signed-in account.

The legacy website’s totals and latest saved game may be viewed on Old website progress where the original local data exists. Those records are separate from new-app results and cannot be automatically reconstructed as complete new-app history.

You can stop using Emozle at any time. To request account and associated data deletion, follow the deletion instructions in our Privacy Policy. Signing out alone does not delete an account.

3. Challenges and your content

You retain any rights you have in the hints and other content you create. You give us permission to store, process, display, and share that content only as reasonably needed to operate challenge and Public features and provide the service to you and other players. Public profiles and published puzzles are visible to everyone, including visitors who are not signed in. You must have the rights needed to submit it.

Challenge codes, links, and QR codes are intended for sharing. Anyone who receives a valid code or link may open the challenge; do not include private information or content you are not permitted to share. Deleting a created challenge disables future joins but does not remove copies or results already saved by people who joined. We may restrict or remove unlawful, abusive, or rights-infringing content and investigate misuse.

4. One-time all-features unlock

Where available, Emozle+ is a one-time purchase to unlock all Emozle paid features, managed through RevenueCat and the applicable app store or payment provider. It is a non-recurring purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription. Purchase availability varies by platform and version. The amount, taxes, features included, advertising treatment, and any platform limitations will be shown before you authorize payment. No charge is created merely by reading these Terms or using the free game.

A one-time unlock is a non-expiring entitlement to the included features for as long as the corresponding Emozle service is operated and those features remain available. It does not transfer ownership of Emozle, purchase an unrelated product, or guarantee perpetual operation of servers, compatibility with every future device, or continued support for an obsolete platform. We will not convert an existing one-time purchase into a recurring charge without a separate, affirmative purchase authorization.

Payment, restoration, and refunds

The seller and payment method identified at checkout handle payment under their terms. For purchases through Apple or Google, the store manages billing and applicable refund requests. Refund and cancellation rights required by law continue to apply; these Terms do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule.

When the feature is available, use Restore Purchases or the equivalent supported account flow to recover an eligible non-consumable purchase. You may need the same store account and, where indicated at checkout, the same Emozle account. Availability across iOS, Android, and web will be disclosed at checkout; buying on one store does not by itself guarantee access through another store. Do not buy again solely to solve a restoration issue—contact support first. A valid refund, chargeback, revoked transaction, or fraud finding may remove the corresponding paid entitlement.

5. Advertising

Advertising availability varies by platform and version. In versions where enabled, optional Google AdMob rewarded ads unlock extra Archive plays. Completing one ad and earning its reward unlocks one selected Archive puzzle after server verification. Closing an ad before earning its reward does not unlock a play. A verified reward remains usable for that puzzle; reopening an already-started game does not require another ad. Verification may take time; use Check earned reward before watching another ad. Emozle+ users have unlimited Archive plays without ads. The offered reward and completion requirement will be shown before you choose to watch. An ad that fails to load does not require payment or use your existing play allowance. Any ad removal included in the one-time unlock will be stated in the product description before purchase. Advertisers’ sites and offers are separate services; an advertisement is not our endorsement or a guarantee of the advertiser’s product.

6. Emozle content and third-party services

Except for your content and material owned by others, Emozle’s software, artwork, branding, and original content belong to Leff IT LLC or its licensors. Do not copy or exploit them beyond permissions granted by these Terms or applicable law. Names, emoji, references, and third-party content remain subject to their respective owners’ rights.

Some puzzles may be prepared with AI assistance and may contain factual, spelling, or interpretation errors. Hints can link to independent resources, including qrwp/Wikipedia. We do not control those resources or the policies of Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other third-party services. Tell us about puzzle errors or rights concerns at support@emozle.com.

7. Availability, changes, and suspension

We work to keep Emozle available, but outages, maintenance, network failures, security issues, and platform changes can interrupt access or affect progress. Features may differ across web, iOS, and Android. We may improve or change the service and may suspend access that materially violates these Terms or threatens security. Where practical and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address a problem. Contact support if you believe a restriction was applied in error.

If we make a material change to these Terms, we will update the date above and provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required. Changes will not remove rights already protected by law or retroactively authorize new charges. If we discontinue a paid service or materially reduce a purchased feature, we will provide notice and any remedy required by applicable law.

8. Your rights and our responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Emozle is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose. To the same extent, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated, or losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes mandatory consumer guarantees, applicable refund or withdrawal rights, and liability that the law does not allow us to disclaim. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.

9. Contact, complaints, and other terms

For support, purchases, privacy, account deletion, or a dispute, contact Leff IT LLC at support@emozle.com. Please describe the problem without sending payment-card details or passwords. We will try to resolve it directly. These Terms do not require arbitration, waive a jury trial, or prevent you from bringing a claim in a court or forum available under applicable law. Mandatory protections of the law where you live remain applicable.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent allowed by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, any applicable product terms shown at purchase, and mandatory store terms govern your use of Emozle; if a conflict exists, mandatory law takes priority.
